Backyard Leaves

I finally seamed up the Backyard Leaves Scarf (from Scarf Style) that I made for my mom. I used Knitpicks Andean Silk in Leaf and I just love the way this yarn feels. It’s very soft and springy. The pattern was really fun and it looks very cool. I tried steam blocking it, but I didn’t have enough pins to pin it out, so it’s not blocked as much as I would have liked. I’m just going to send it off though, and my mom can reblock it herself (or have a knitting friend help her). She doesn’t knit. Anyway, here it is:

I also am sending a scarf I made for my dad, just a simple one-row scarf that Stephanie (the yarnharlot) designed, made from 2 skeins of Manos del Uruguay:
